Cookies and browser storage
Version 2026-12-08-draft
Draft: for the owner's review (and a solicitor's) before launch. Anything in [square brackets] is still to be filled in.
The short version
LeadVault only uses cookies and browser storage that it needs to work: to keep you signed in, remember your own settings on this device, stop robots, and take payments safely. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we don't need to ask for your consent and there is no cookie banner. If we ever add anything that isn't needed, we will ask you first.
What we use
| What | Whose | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session (browser storage, sb-… keys) | LeadVault (our sign-in service) | Keeps you signed in, so each page knows it's you | Until you sign out, or about a week without use |
| Your preferences (browser storage, lv.… keys) | LeadVault | Remembers choices you made on this device: light or dark, the look, folded panels, a half-typed search | Until you clear them in your browser |
| sidebar_state (cookie) | LeadVault | Remembers whether the side menu is open | 7 days |
| Cloudflare Turnstile (only on the sign-in and sign-up pages) | Cloudflare | The “not a robot” check that stops automated sign-up and sign-in attempts | Short-lived, set by Cloudflare; see Cloudflare's privacy notice |
| Stripe (cookies on Stripe's own pages only) | Stripe | Taking your payment securely and preventing fraud, on Stripe's checkout and billing pages | Set by Stripe; see Stripe's cookie policy |
The browser extension
If you install the LeadVault browser extension, it keeps its own settings and your sign-in in the extension's storage on your device. It doesn't set cookies on the websites you visit.
Controlling them
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser's settings at any time. If you do, you'll be signed out and your on-device preferences reset. More about how we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
